Privacy & cookie policy
Last updated: 12 October 2026
This policy explains what personal information The Organic Home Store collects, why, who we share it with and the choices you have. We keep it to what we need to answer your questions, deliver your order and, if you ask us to, send you occasional news.
Who we are
The Organic Home Store is a trading name of Ergoji Ltd, Chapel Gardens, Kilmore Quay, Co. Wexford, Ireland. We are the data controller for the information described here. For any privacy question or request, email info@theorganichomestore.com or call +353 86 836 3151.
What we collect and why
Consultation requests, enquiries and quotes
When you book a consultation, send us a message or ask for a campervan quote, we collect your name, email address, phone number and the details you give us (for example your van, your bed size or what you are looking for). We use them to reply, arrange your consultation and prepare a recommendation or quote. Our legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries.
Price list and guide requests
When you ask for a price list or the Building Biology guide, we collect your name and email address so we can give you the document and, where relevant, follow up about your request. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to your request. We do not add you to our newsletter unless you tick the sign-up box.
Newsletter
If you tick "Sign up for news and updates" or join our mailing list, we use your email address to send occasional news about products, workshops and events. Our legal basis is your consent. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to remove you at any time.
Orders and deliveries
When you order, we collect your name, delivery address, phone number, email address, the products and sizes you choose and payment records. We use them to place your order with the manufacturer, arrange delivery and assembly, handle after-sales care and keep accounts. Our legal bases are performing our contract with you and complying with our legal obligations, including tax law. We do not store your full card details.
Using our website
Our website records technical information such as your device, browser, the pages you visit and how you arrived, using the cookies described below. Non-essential cookies are only set if you accept them in the cookie banner.
Who we share it with
We never sell your personal information. We share it only where needed:
Squarespace, which hosts our website, forms and mailing list, as our processor.
Dormiente GmbH in Germany, which makes our products, with the order details needed to make and deliver your order.
Delivery and assembly partners, with your name, address and phone number for your delivery.
Payment providers, to process payments.
Google Ireland, through Google Analytics, only if you accept analytics cookies.
Meta Platforms Ireland (Facebook and Instagram), through the Meta Pixel, only if you accept marketing cookies.
Our accountants and public authorities, such as the Revenue Commissioners, where the law requires it.
Some of these providers may process information outside the European Economic Area, for example in the United States. Where they do, the transfer is protected by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
Enquiries, quotes, consultation and price list requests: up to 24 months after our last contact with you, unless you become a customer.
Customer and order records: 6 years after the end of the financial year of your purchase, as Irish tax law requires.
Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your personal information, ask us to correct or delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or receive it in a portable format. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Email info@theorganichomestore.com and we will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission, 21 Fitzwilliam Square South, Dublin 2, D02 RD28, at www.dataprotection.ie. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
Cookies
Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use three kinds:
Essential: set by Squarespace to keep the site secure and working, for example to protect forms (crumb). These do not need consent.
Analytics: Squarespace visitor analytics (for example ss_cvr and ss_cvt) and Google Analytics (for example _ga), which tell us how many people visit, how they found us and which pages they use. These cookies are only set with your consent. Before you choose, Google Analytics may receive basic signals without cookies that do not identify you, so we can count visits.
Marketing: the Meta Pixel (for example _fbp), which measures visits from our Facebook and Instagram posts and ads. Only with your consent.
When you first visit, the cookie banner lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies. You can change your choice at any time through the cookie settings link on the site, or by clearing cookies in your browser.
Children
Our website is not aimed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page if the way we handle personal information changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
