Underneath
The slatted base matters as much as the frame
Each frame has a recess sized for a particular base, so we pair them when you order. Our beech bases are completely metal-free: roll-up slats from €180 and the sprung Basic S from €420 (90 × 200). Bases go up to 140 cm wide, so a 160 or 180 cm bed takes two.

Bought once, properly
Solid timber frames, never MDF or veneered chipboard, with solid-beech slatted base options. Frames are joined with traditional wedges and dowels, without metal hardware wherever the design allows. Nuveo, Nuveo Maxi and Veteris_1 are fully metal-free.

Frequently asked
-
Every bed is hand-built to order in Germany, so allow 6–8 weeks from order. Delivery anywhere in Ireland and on-site assembly are included, and we take the packaging away.
-
Most people start with heartwood beech (light, warm and the best value) or oak (durable and classic). Cherry and walnut are the premium tier. Swiss pine is left untreated and is naturally aromatic. Ask us about the finishes during your consultation.
-
Frames are joined with traditional wedges and dowels and avoid metal hardware wherever the design allows. Nuveo, Nuveo Maxi and Veteris_1 are fully metal-free, and so are our solid beech slatted bases.
-
Yes. Every design except KB_23 can be made 190, 210 or 220 cm long, for a 10–15% surcharge (a flat surcharge on the modular Arive, Mira and Soreo). Special widths and one-off shapes are quoted on request.
-
The base is chosen separately so it matches the frame’s recess and your mattress. We quote both together. Bases go up to 140 cm wide, so wider beds take two.
-
Dormiente beds use continental sizes, 200 cm long: 140 × 200 is slightly larger than an Irish 4’6” double. A Dormiente mattress fits exactly; for another mattress, send us its measurements first.
